This is about half of the brass shaving I dug out of a new premium ready to load case. I won't bring up the manufacturer because it could happen with any manufacturer. I couldn't see the flash hole when I looked through it. I have no idea what would happen if it was loaded up and fired with this in it. Maybe nothing but there's no need in risking it. Took me forever to dig it all out. I will notify the maker of the brass.

That could really mess one's day if they relied on the manufacture statement "Ready To Load". The displacement of powder and the extra brass in the case could cause extreme pressure.
I clean/de-bur all flash holes except Lapua 6mmBR. Never saw something like this. I also never load "Ready To Load Premium Brass" without checking every piece. I would definitely contact the manufacture and maybe get a couple hundred cases for free. You could tell us the manufacture.

Thanks! I have several hundred rounds of new Norma, Nosler, and Weatherby brass and never thought anything about finding something like that. I trust that brand name manufacturers would have much better quality control. I have always checked by brass after firing, but I'll be checking new brass as well now.

Just bought a bag of reprocessed 308 brass just to mess around with, which wasn't much but still, and upon inspection it was a mix of head stamps, then found some 308 brass necked down to 6.5 CR and 30-06 brass. This should have been labeled as "may contain various calibers"!

Holy cow! That's pretty crazy! Never seen anything like that. Thanks for posting up, never can be too careful. Good catch and let us know what the manufacturer says.
