You can thread the for a supressor, but there is no sense in putting a suppressor on, I put a suppressor on my 17 and it doesn't really make any difference. A small diameter with supersonic ammo is still reallyloud with a 17 .22 or in fact any other caliber. I have 6 supressors for rifle and pistol, They are all used for different applications. Not like in the movies. The only supressors tha work for that real PSSSS sound are special subsonic rounds used by Marines, Seals, SF.. These are not the rounds you want for hunting. Just shoot the 17hmr and use goo hearing protection. Jill and I use the electronic ear buds that block out high sounds so you can stil talk and hear - WALKERS.
