I'm just a humble poor Michigan Coyote Hunter ..I have Tikka's and Remmy700 GAP guns with Criterion, X Caliber barrels ....not Proof .... I load my own pills on Redding and Dillon Presses... My cans are RC2 , Warthogs, Maxim Defense PRS , AAC ...

My optics are primarily Arkens, SH4J and EP5 , ZULUS LRF , a an Athalon 32X BTR...

When I see Caviar rifles and the beauty , I have to admit ,,I weep !

If you can shoot well enough with 2-8.5 and your vanilla 3-9, i would say run it. Use whats comfortable to you. I would get one with a bigger obj lenz though. There has beem many of times where i wish i would have had a bigger obj lenz due to low light.

I've had no problem shooting targets @600

I tend to like a 1-8 or 2-12 power but have been known to hunt with higher magnification. I do like the looks of the NF 2.5-20 though..... maybe just a little envious

I have a 3-12 and a 4-14 on my calling rifles. Most shots are taken on 4 power.
