Coyote hunting with thermals

I borrowed a buddies Iray RICO 50 last year and went out several times with my uncle. It's a ton of fun. Hunting with thermals is.... different. I can't tell you the last time I've missed a day time yote but that's not the case for me night hunting LOL. I need more practice.

I just bought a RIX Leap3 and it's awesome. Love the simplicity of the scope and the optical zoom is nice!

If I had had to choose between day hunting and night hunting I feel like I prefer day hunting but night hunting is a blast! Definitely call more in at night.

Who out here coyote hunts with thermals? Figured everyone hunting coyotes around me had them and it was time to take the jump. I've got an iray Rico mk2 lrf gonna be here Anyday and I can't wait!
We use a FLIR Scout III Hand Held for Detection when hunting Yotes & Hogs and then a Night Optics NV D-760 Scope with an IR spotter to Shoot. Awesome Package. There are a lot of Thermal Scopes out there that are GREAT with Video. Just that when hunting you don't want to hold a Scope/Rifle to your eye for Scanning. If you do go with Thermal get Two - One Hand Held and one Rifle Scope!!!!
Good Luck and once you start Nigh Hunting you will want to hunt in the DARK!!!!!!

I just acquired a Infiray 1024 Bolt TX60C, after three years of struggling with a complete piece of junk ATN Thor 4.
The image quality of the Infiray is absolutely amazing. Even cranked up, digitally zoomed to 16x, the image is still very useful.

Good for you! I've been eyeing that scope up. But I can't bring myself to spend the coin when I have one that works just fine.

Seems Iray is going to offering more Nocpix products this year. Something that's supposed to compete with the Bolt TX60 which I thought was strange.
