This bruiser keeps harassing chickens at an Amish friends house who has a sweet night vision scope ,at midnight it's like high noon, black and white digital.Popped his noggin with a 17 HMR at 110 yards, about a 2000$ Pulsar night scope. He has kill permits for deer and these varmints, but doesn't use them unless absolutely necessary.

Those aren't chicken bones laying around him. He's just a pup, feet aren't big enough to be full grown. Your buddy better be on the look out for his pappy. He's the real chicken thief.

Sir,not being confrontational, but I was GH hunting there today and that coon is a solid 15lbs 6 OZ,the pic is misleading ,bones are where they dump fallen lifestock and anything a predator eats. Makes for good coyote shooting in fall, winter, spring.I taught em that trick,15 lbs is a big coon,at least in Ohio, however I've dispatched, injured road hits on the job that exceeded north of 25.

Pic is deceiving. Yes 15 lbs is a decent size coon. We used to cut up frozen dead pigs with a chain saw years ago for coyote bait. Hard to handle a big old frozen sow that died. Worked great for bait.

That coons a dink.....wait til they're big enough to take a walnut shell in their front paws and break it open....thats a coon...to big for a hat..'bout right size for a coat....

I agree i've seen some huge ones on the interstates I patrol. That night vision worked so well I went and bought one, waited till the Amish friend bought one to see if it was any good, those boys got the money and buy anything hunt or fishing related they want.

Richard, I was night hunting hogs a good while back. At the bait was a opossum when I got there. Then about five coons came in. then a couple deer. I only had the ND3 green laser light sitting on the rifle, When I closed the beam, the deer got spooky. Open it wide and not a one animal got spooked. Did not see a hog though, and had the urge to whack those coons ! Coulda lined 3 up for one shot. Shoulda.

Sweet, I would bet that there's more out there to shoot.
Oh yeah! I'm waiting to get my fleshing stuff and beam before I shoot anymore but our season runs till 3/15 day or night. I guess they "rut" in late January so it should be interesting!
