Condensation question

So when bringing in your gun and ammo from a cold outside, condensation builds on the exterior. My question is, how is this not happening on the inside of the rifle cartridge? Or is it and I just haven't seen the effects?

If the ammunition is sealed, which it may or may not be…..no condensation should form

I seal all of my primers, whether beneficial or not…..on everything but plinking stuff!

I'm relying, gambling, that the bullet will seal tight enough to prevent moisture from transferring from atmosphere past bullet and into case!


Obviously, this is just my opinion. It's always been a concern of mine, hence the sealed primers. memtb

I guess I assumed there was some moisture in there from the initial loading, (humidity in the air) maybe not enough to matter?

Probably a lot lower in the factory, than along our southern coast line, or most of our high humidity areas. memtb

Maybe since the air in the cartridge is the same temperature as the case, it doesn't condensate?

If there is sufficient moisture inside the case, I think that when the cartridge cools …..there will be condensation formed inside!

I'm hoping that when/were loaded…..it was in a somewhat controlled environment! memtb
