Colorado wolves being relocated.

I'm guessing that they were too fast? 😉
They were hauling balls for sure. Funny thing. I was heading for east gate to Cody before that and a white and gray wolf all by itself was on other side of road trotting past me. I remember saying to girlfriend *** ? Was 2002. I can't remember the year they turned wolves loose in Yellowstone but think it was 1999. In 2001 I was at end of South Fork (Shoshone river) at Cabin Creek trailhead. I was about to shoot a coyote but did want to cause hunting deer. I kept looking at him in scope thinking **** he's big. I was about to pull trigger and somebody on my shoulder said it's a wolf. Was a small imaginary figure. At the G&F check station they wanted tp know about wolf sightings. I told him where I saw a wolf. He just blew it off. Following year G&F said they killed 2 wolf's killing cattle near Cabin Creek. We'll I'll be darned.... 🙄 Same day I saw wolf on road at Yellowstone and lost hit griz cubs something crazy happened coming up valley before I saw wolf on road. If you want to hear it we'll take a vote 😆

Last year a rancher chewed my a_ _ for not shooting one in the middle of her cows . Had him at 700 yards not a stitch of wind . Rancher lady pulled up beside me and chewed me out, I clamy told her if I shot him I'd want to go get him and whoever the landowner was wouldn't let me go get him , also told her if he was chewing on a beef cow he wouldn't be chewing on a elk I might get a shot on , if it was any other rancher I know I'd have shot it. This is one of those ranchers that keep us off public ground so they can do as they please

The sad thing is……often, those running the state want them! Not true in all Western States……but, true for one ir two select states! memtb
Those selfish game adjacencies could just share a few of there more dangerous or destructive individuals to help make a point…
Instead of trap and kill just trap and release. I'm sure California would welcome them! At first anyway.

Just keep them away from Missouri! We have enough problems here.

I knew you and birddog 68 and muddyboots would 😉 I'm sure I told story on here at some time.
Even blocking abbreviations and symbols. Wow.
Ok. I forgot. That same day I saw wolf going out east gate and about 10 mi. out of Yellowstone. I came in south gate and out east gate. 68 mi. About 1.5 hr. They close the Park after the 1st Sunday in November usually. I went thru whole Park on a single track road in snow on last day open in 2002. Never say another vehicle. This happened before I saw wolf going out east gate and almost hitting griz cubs. I was coming up grade to top. RIver way down on right. No guardrails back then. Up a hill and road turns to left. Before I got to turn a herd of buffalo came around turn towards me. I'm on a 2 track road in snow. Bank on left. No guardrails on right. About 350 yds down canyon on right. The buffalo split left and right of my truck going downhill. They were bumping into my truck making it go side to side. I was worried about getting pushed of to right side down canyon. Girlfriend was toughing them through window. I said quit ! I don't want a horn into my truck. There was at least 100 of them. Took a couple min. to get by me. After I drove up to top of road and said holy **** , I'll use atereiks cause rated pg13. Then after about a mile saw the wolf going down road opposite way. All by itself. Then about 10 miles our of Park is when I almost ran of the two griz cubs when dark. OK ! I'm done ! Back to Co. Wolves 😉
