Since you don't want a hypothetical situation (even though you seemed to ignore the REAL situation that I posted about in Maryland where the pizzed-off ex-wife gets her ex-husband killed by the cops just out of spite), and you want a "real situation", here you go...I just returned from the dentist for the first time since I retired. The lady dentist that took over the practice was shot dead by her husband in a murder suicide. Due to the clear statistics of this crime in our country, straight up, I fully support this law. No fear or hypothetical situation can change my mind and I'll never support a rotten human's right to own a gun. That is just my opinion. I'm not hurt if anybody else disagrees and so sorry if somebody is hurt by my opinion.
I'm out and back to developing an elk load.
When I was a very young teenager, my older cousin killed herself (on purpose) by OD'ing on over-the-counter pain pills like Advil, Aleve, etc... Do you think they should outlaw those, too? Because I don't. The pills didn't harm her (just like guns don't harm people). She harmed herself by taking too many of them. Thinking you can stop someone from doing something bad to either themselves or others, is never going to work. You cannot regulate morality...EVER. Just because you take their guns, doesn't mean they're just going to NOT commit the crime they were planning on... And if you think that's true, then that's the dumbest **** thing I've ever heard, because that's not reality.
In 2013, my friend (and country music singer) Wayne Mills was shot in the back of the head and killed, by a bar owner in Nashville, TN, and was dragged back into the bar to try to make it look like self-defense. The bar owner is still in prison, and will be for a LONG LONG time. Do I think guns are bad? Hell no! That is the reason we carry guns, to prevent being harmed by some other azzhole with a gun.
Have you ever had a gun put in your face? I have...Numerous times. Have you ever had to draw your weapon on someone in self-defense? I have. It's not a good feeling...Luckily I never had to pull the trigger. But until you've been in that situation to understand exactly how fast these things go down, and exactly how dangerous it can be out there, and to know that you have what it takes to actually pull the trigger if someone tries to harm you or your family, then don't try to tell me that you think the court system illegally taking your guns from you without due-process is a good thing.
