Well it weren't long range, but it was long on fun. He was not in a place to take a long poke and in fact it's one of the closest shots I've ever had at a mature mule deer. Took him with a standing off hand shot between 50 to 60 yards. Sure was a great time in Colorado this weekend despite the very warm temperatures. I hope the rest of you boys headed that way do as well or better.
