It took 5 preference points but I finally drew my buck tag in unit 95. This unit is all private property but I'm lucky enough to live here so I know some people lol. I only had one day to hunt so I wasn't real picky. I was looking more for a long range shot than a huge buck. The shot was taken at 875 yards. This was the first hunt with my new G7 BR2 rangefinder and I was pretty impressed. It was pretty easy to get a good range on the antelope when held steady. This is my longest shot on an animal and it was pretty cool to see it drop without even taking a step! Rifle is a custom 300 RUM built by phoenix custom rifles. It's a defiance deviant action, bartlain barrel, manners stock, seekins DBM and timney trigger. Load is 230gr berger OTM's running 3150fps.
