I've got about 9 or 10 points (iirc) and I'm looking for a unit with higher probability of filling tag for next year.
No guided hunts, can't afford that. I like to park an rv trailer for a base camp, then can use atv and walk in for spike camp too.

Anyone have a decent area they would like to suggest for public land? Not expecting anyone to give up their honey hole. I live east of Colorado springs, I'd like something within 4 hours or so but will consider any/all co suggestions

Uggh the creep is so bad in CO I have basically decided to just keep getting points until something changes or one day I'll be that old timer who can barely walk with the 27 point tag.

My buddy's are masters of the gohunt app. The only units we can draw with 12 points are units we could have statistically drawn 3-4 times over the last 12 years. The units get harder to draw but the hunting stays the same or gets worse. Its a hard pill to swallow to waste 10 points on tags you could have drawn 5 years ago with 5 and 5 years before that with 5 as well. Gohunt helps a bit with odds and gives good descriptions of units that help you decide if there's enough access for your style of hunting. Keep us posted, we are considering burning points on archery hunts because of the creep.
