I have been using Dewey for over 10 years. I buy them direct. When I buy a new rifle and I have a question I send them a mail or call them on the telephone. Also a big fan Lucas bore guides. Maybe there are better ways of doing things but right now this works of me. I wipe down the rods with a disposable towel between strokes in case something is hanging on the rod.
Cleaning rod cost me $35, was that reasonable?

I 4-shore perform a wipe-down of the rod after brushing & before patching.
Things tend to get REALLY messy when performing moly treatments on the bore!
Actually I need to make a correction regarding those squeegee bore cleaning implements that I just saw for the first time [at dunham's sporting goods]. I believe the brand is Tetra-Gun, NOT Outer's.
