Cleaning aluminum off of a blued barrel

I removed a factory blued Rem barrel with my barrel vice. I have aluminum vice inserts.

The barrel came off but it took a few attempts with some slipping in the aluminum inserts until I could get it tight enough.

Now I have aluminum smears on my blued barrel. No harm but it's ugly.

How do I remove those alum smears ?

I'd use scotchbrite pads lightly.
