I expect that within 400 rounds you'll have hit 1000, a mile, 2000 yards, plus cold bore at 1000 and a mile. This thing is going to shoot like a dream. Spend the time it takes with a ballistics app, and you'll be stacking 5 shots in a row at a mile.

That would be impressive as all get out.
I'm literally counting the the days till projected delivery to Kirby. 263 days on the clock!

With a good shooting 18 mph gun, these feats (especially 1000 yards) are more easily achievable than people think. If Kirby is doing load development for you, this can all be done on your 1st independent range trip!

Just curious, what is the twist rate of that beauty?

Sorry for the late reply. Its a 1-10 twist. I never planned on using the bigger 375 bullets, plus i wanted mag length.

Kirby got my rifle done, and I finished the stock last week. I did an ok job on it, not exemplary, but I like it. No, I love it. I just got tired of messing with it. Probably could have spent another 100 hrs sanding, and I just decided I'd had enough, I want to shoot it! Here it is, with all its warts, and no scope yet. Comments invited.

i'm interested in doing a lloooooonggggg range rig also. would a twist gain be harmful to monos or even be worth it? going off cutting edge site on twist suggestions are they pretty well accurate on this? are some of the medium to large bore bullets good on transonic transitions to sub? i'm on the edge between 416b and 375ct, but would totally not be out on doing a 50bmg using lighter (450-527) weight bullets that are as long as bullets 1.5-2 times heavier?

Brother, in all honesty, those questions are over my head, sorry. But it seems likeCEB , with a gain twist, to go 1in faster. I got an 8 twist cause Bartlien and Kirby said to for the 400 class monos. Sorry I couldn't give you any answers.
