I have a heap of higher end scopes but need two cheap units for budget builds.

saw a YouTube review on these track well, only so much you can pickup on clarity in a you tube. Banged them around a bit seemed to stay on zero. FFP. Hard to beat the price for sure.

This right here. It is just a tad heavy but not as heavy as others in this category.

Look up Arken Optics, a great value!
Arken is solid, bright, repeatable with a positive zero stop.
Try one and you will be surprised at the quality at a great price.
My I.D.# is 401.
You can spend more...if you want to but Arken is a awesome value!

It is a Mil Retical, not a MolDot,
Makes it simple and fast.
Go to Arken and you will see what the Retical looks like.
The price will fool you, at $349. It is way under priced!
Using this scope it makes 500 and 1000 yards almost boring, not quite but almost.

I just picked up a used Bushnell DMR2 3.5-21
It was a touch over my budget but it ticked every box. Still need another unit but will test this and see how we go. Let you know how it stacks up against all my ATACR's.

Another vote for Vortex Diamondback Tactical.
FFP and available in mil/mil.
I got one on my long range 22lr project and was surprised at what you get for the money.

The bushnell will be pretty nice and the reticle is also a good reticle for hunting and target shooting. Cameralandny has really good prices on the Bushnell LRTS scopes. Or you could get a SWFA as your 2nd scope and they can be found for around $225 used and they usually have a Black Friday sale as well.

My Arken EP4 4-16x50 FFP Zero Stop tracks and was the lowest price i can find for 34mm

Another vote for SWFA. You're not going to find their rock solid reliability in any other scope at that price range. They really are a bargain at their price

Bushnell has a fixed 10x that's mil/mil for $200.

If your budget is $500 each, you can get two used SWFA 3-15x42's for under that. I would go that route 100%.
