CFE 223 in 308 Win

Cfe 223 is slower than Varget
Excellent with 165 thru 180 in 308 win
Low to High Node very short Be Careful with this powder

Started working with the Berger 215 and 200.20x in a 308 win. So far have gotten up to 43.5 gr in Lapua brass with the 215 but groups are just meh...
It's a 20" carbon barrel, so recoil management is kicking my arse. May just go back to the lighter weights.

That 215 Berger is a great bullet in the 300 Win. But I believe it's too much bullet for the small 308 Win case. I suggest 130 to 180 depending on your twist in the 308 Win. I have a 1:12 in my Rem. The tried and true Sierra 168 MK works great as well as the Berger Classical Hunter 168gr with IMR 4064 and Varget. CFE 223 gives me a little more Vel in my 20" with same Accuracy. But my Little Rem really shines with 130 Barnes TTSX and 150gr Speer Grandslam and IMR 8208.

Mine likes the 152 Hammers with CFE223. That is the hunting load, but for going long the little bullets get blown around a bit.

In the 308 win
The Berger 175 OTM is also my favorite
I have had best luck with Varget and IMR 4064.
