Case Forming for Savage 250/3000 from 22/250

Has anyone tried to form 22/250 brass up to 250/3000?
Have a lot of the 22/250 brass but the 250 Savage brass is getting hard to find.
The case dimensions are so similar, I've seen it done the other way around with no problems.

Donut might be an issue necking up. Another possibility might be necking up Peterson 6XC brass. It uses the same head size dimension as the 22-250. Just not sure how the shoulder will handle squeezing down to 250 savage body taper.

It's always been my understanding that the 22-250 parent case was the 250. I'm interested as well because I'm in the same boat but don't have the 250 dies yet.

I think you may first have to set back the shoulder on the 22-250 as the SAAMI spec for body length of the 22-250 is .003" longer than the 250 Sav.
