Carbon fiber barrel heat.

Hey guys , just picked up a ridgeline and it's the first carbon bbl I have owned. They say they cool 300% faster then all steel bbl. but my question about the carbon bbl is the heat you feel externally the same heat thru out the whole bbl ? I alway shoot 3 let bbl cool to ambient temperature and repeat. Are these barrels the same temp thru out ?

if i had one i would want to check internal temp. to see for myself. before i ruined it.
