^ Don't listen to this dude. He just has the worst luck with ANY barrel brand.
For me, here is my preference for CF barrels in order:
1. Benchmark. All mine (and others I have shot) have been crazy accurate and fast.
2. Bartlein. See above.
Proof are lighter than both the above. But Proof has been mostly hit or a few miss for me, and a few others I have shot. I have personally had a bad Proof with a tight spot that would pressure up way early, and it was slow too, but very accurate. It got so frustrating when my 20" would match the speeds of this 26", I pulled it. I still have a slow Proof also. Again, very accurate, but a good 100fps slower than numerous others. I have seen numerous other Proofs that were either slow or pressured up way too early, and a couple that would not shoot no matter what I tried. And yet, I have several fast Proofs, and all of mine have been very accurate. But I have mostly moved away from Proof now.
Christensen Arms has been a 80/20 barrel. 80% shoot lights out. 20% wouldn't hit the ground if you dropped them.
Hells Canyon have all been accurate, but I have heard their CS is "patience testing".
