using n160, and a 90grain scenar, quickload says you need about 46.5grains to get 3100fps, but please work up to this eh!
as far as how slow can you go, don't go below min charges in the manuals for safety sake. my 308 used to shoot it's best on min loads. see what your rifle likes.
