Can a chromoly barrel be fluted....

after it is installed and fired 35 times? I'd like to lighten it up just a tad and I like the look of flutes better.

Either chromoly or ss can be fluted. However, I would be cautious of altering the outside of any button pulled barrel after the inside has been completely finished. If it is a cut rifled barrel you wouldnt have anything to worry about.
