Caliber Selection Recommendations?

7mm rem mag. More than enough gun for what you want. Great availability and doesnt beat the crap out of your shoulder.

Especially if you put a BRAKE on it. I was thinking of selling it because it just wasn't fun for me to shoot. I could not shoot consistently with my Savage (9.6 lbs loaded) until I put a brake on it. Then everything changed. .5 MOA or better on a regular basis, not to say I don't pull a 1 MOA sometimes depending on various factors. But no more "***, what happened there?" shots. 7RM is very versatile. X-bolt Composite Stalker is very light.

I'm in the same boat but can't decide. 7mag or 300win for ranges out to 650. Tough call probably can't make a wrong choice.
