Any leads to pick up a bottle of Pappy's would be appreciated. Needed for a wedding in Sept.
Thanks'
.....might be worth a shot (no pun intended);).

Pappy's is fantastic , expensive and almost impossible to get without connections. I bought a bottle for my son in-law when he finished his doctorate . He is a bourbon aficionado and constantly is trying new ones. As a family 2 sons 2 son in-laws and a son in-laws brother in law ( if you can follow all this ) have bourbon tastings about 3 time a year. Here are a few that we discovered that I added to my Blanton's , Four roses small batch and Bookers , Elijah Craig small batch, Woodward Reserve , Eagle Rare and my favorite Basil Haden.
I drink bourbon neat , Basel is very smooth and does make me wake up the next morning regretting the purchase I made the night before on Gunbroker! Yes that has happened ( a few times )

Depends on what part of September the wedding is? Pappies releases twice in the fall and as you see above the stores receive quotas by the amount of Buffalo trace they sell. Find a liquor store that sells Buffalo trace and see if you can get the owner or manager to hold you a bottle . I deal with a place near my home and the manager knows I only deal there so I can get one if enough comes in. eBay is another source but you pay or should I say get robbed !

Yes, I did enjoy the Larceny. It's a quality product and very smooth but different with the wheat in the mash bill. For me, it doesn't carry as much flavor as the non-wheated Bourbons in general. I'll still keep it around though.

Basel Haden 👍 Elijah Craig used to market an amazing 12 year old but I think the CFO got tired of waiting on maturity.

Well it's been along time since I posted here.
I think I need a drink something terrible.
I have been in the Er twice now with my Heart issues.
Just found out the other night my youngest daughter has Thyroid Cancer. Then a day later we find out the family we have been with has Covid ...what next .

Anyway this came highly recommended from you guys ! I have to say it's good!

Sorry to hear this Rum Man. I had my appendix rupture and tested positive for covid at the same time. A week later I was in the er with pneumonia, cobie and bacterial infection. I spent 8 days in the hospital and still trying to get my strength back. I will have a drink for you and keep you in my prayers.

I'm praying for a speedy full recovery four you . Its pressing times like this that the group we belong to here gives us a Lift up when we need it . Even a little bit seems to help us get through things .

Hope all is good with your heart! Get well. Thinking of you and your family! We are still in camp getting these last groups of hunters tagged out. Then it's my family's turn to hunt!
