Bullet travel above line of sight?

If you change the zero distance to the range you intend to shoot, as del2les stated, the numbers under "drop" that do not show a minus sign (-) are how high the bullet is above not below the line of sight. Here is the generic data on JBM Ballistics, I just changed to a 1000 yard zero. View attachment 358793
Thanks much Brother. Your kindness is appreciated.

Im shooting a RPR 243 with a Berger 115 VLD H. MV is 3020.

I cut three big limbs this morning and it opened it up considerably. There are a few scattered small limbs left but I can't reach them from a ladder agains the tree. I have a 14' step ladder and a pole saw... Sounds like a trip to the ER doesn't it?

thanks again

I changed the zero distance on the Hornady calculator and it shows a 93.4" trajectory at the 600 yard rand and then drops into the high 70's at 750 yards. I think Im going to be alright with the lane like it is now. Thanks to all you offered encouragement. Beez
And you yarded it on the first pitch.

I feel your pain, it's coming down!ATTACH=full]358874[/ATTACH]

@338 dude HOLY HELLO....that soil looks freaking amazing. Not even a single pea gravel or grain of sand in it. Is that a lot of clay or was it wet when you graded it? Looks like it would grow a cat turd 5' tall!! Sorry lost a little focus for a second.

Mine wasn't overgrown like that. You did some serious dirt work. Mine runs down the side of three 40's but barely 1000 is shootable. I'll try to take a pic tmw if I can get back there to it tomorrow. We had a heck of a rain this afternoon in NWFL.

I took my 14' step ladder back with me this afternoon and my pole saw. It is temperamental so I made sure it would crank and run well and even sharpened the chain. Got back there, set up my ladder under the first limb, cranked the saw and let it run for a minute, shut it off and up the ladder I went to about 10'. First pull on the handle the cord broke. Bad news...the clutch has to come off in order to put new rope back in it. Oh well, I wanted an excuse to buy a new one anyway.

My range suns north to south. At 1000 yards the target is about 20-25 lower than the shooting bench.

Any hanging limbs are roughly 130" above what I think the line of sight would be at 600-750 yards. Gotta go to my old range today and start gathering up targets and shooting tables. waiting on daylight to get here,

Just and FYI: old bush hog blades make great steel targets. I've shot mine with a 270 wsm at 100 yards and it wont even put a dimple in one of them.

Obviously those are planted pines. But I haven't been able to burn back there for two years. The gum trees and other scrubs have really gotten a strong hold. Will definitely be hot fire next year when I burn it.
