bullet sticking

ok i have one of those, the rcbs one that comes with the kit. how much do i cut it? just a little? thanks a lot stormrider i appreciate the help

You're welcome.
You don't have to cut much, in fact if you cut too much you can make the end of the case sharp enough to cut yourself... Just a little is all you need, to break the edge of the mouth. Just experiment a little bit and see how it works. You'll have it figured out in no time.

I chamfered some of my brass. it did make it a little easier to seat the bullet, but im still getting a little ring towards the top

Ok, then the seating plug doesn't fit the bullets quite right, or the sizing die is working the neck down too much. The ring is unsightly, but shouldn't hurt anything.

i figured it probably would hurt anything, but like you said, its unsightly. thanks for your help stormrider. i contacted rcbs about getting a different seating plug for $20 so i may do that
