Barnes makes so many different kinds of bullets in many different ways , those videos don't scratch the surface of all the steps and processes involved .
They improve things all the time and as new machines come along new ways to make things appear. It would not surprise me if they have sped up the process in stronger press systems and can form the solid bullet from bar stock quickly .
CNC has taken over a lot of processes now for solid bullets but jacketed bullets are still made basically the same way as has been done for many years except for a few innovations in core materials, bonding methods , ballistic tips etc . However still basically the swage up principle.
It is interesting to see what factories do but they don't always tell the truth about their trade secrets .
