I wasn't too far away, but I have a 100-400mm telephoto lens for wildlife photography. I seldom draw a tag that would allow me to hunt these bulls, or the bighorn sheep, or moose... But they all live near me, and I can "hunt" them with my camera year after year.

Can't eat the photos, but the pack-out is pretty easy compared to when I use a rifle and "make meat."

Many years ago I hunted with a camera after the seasons were over and the elk and deer had moved to low country. Quite fun actually! Always wanted a lense with crosshairs.

Superb! Made quite trips to Lake Chelan over the last 10 years. That valley the Hwy 971 runs thru between the Columbia and the Lake Chelan is so beautiful.

Nice photo Guy.

The older I get, the more I just enjoying seeing wildlife "in the wild". While I still enjoy a challenging hunt and like to harvest a fine trophy once in a while, it doesn't seem as important as it used to be.

Great photography! Just being out in the great outdoors and seeing God's gifts is a reward for me. This has inspired me to pull out my old Nikon and telephoto lens and head to the woods.
