Brakes, high dollar scopes, big cartrige conversions enable the range to be streched, with the next $2000 gone quickly. This is based on my own experience. I hunt with a JDJ that will reliably hit and dispatch game to 400. Accuracy is 1/2 min. and remains stable at much longer range, but terminal velocity will not expand bullets beyond 500.
