Building a 6.5PRC

So the middle of March my gun will be done so I'm looking at reloading for it so does anyone have any experience shooting the 150 LRAB out of there PRC I will be using RL26 for powder and my gun has a 26" Lilja barrel would love to know what you get for your velocity Thanks for the help

I'm curious as to the twist of your barrel for this project? Nosler's site shows a 1:8tw but without shooting some I'm not too sure they'd fully stabilize.

The prc "click problem". Numerous threads on here about about it. I can't remember who but one of the members here re did the reamer to eliminate that issue. I'm sure lance will explain in greater detail.

I have a 1/8 twist 6.5 PRC and shooting the Berger 153.5 gr bullet at 300 yards shot a 1 inch 5 shot group, at 500 I shot a 20 round group into a three inches while I was doing barrel break in. It should stabilize.

A SAAMI 6.5PRC reamer and SAAMI spec FL dies do not play nice together. The SAAMI dies do not size the fired brass enough, causing clickers and pressure issues on subsequent reloads.

There are numerous threads about this well documented issue.

I released my reamer to the public through JGS. What that means is they will sell you my reamer. I get nothing and you pay the same as any other reamer. I dont know what the JGS 2.0 reamer is. It may be good, never seen the print.

I've not run a 150 but a 156 in a 22" runs 2920. Should easily see 3050.
