Hello all
I'm building a hunting rifle. I have decided and put in to motion a .284 Win Short Action. I know the short action .284 will cause some issues. I am educated and prepared to make it work.
I am using a custom action (700 footprint). I have decided on a 24 in Pac Nor Sendero profile barrel. I have my trigger, bottom metal, scope mount, and optic picked out.
However I cannot decide on a stock. I keep looking at the Greyboe Terrain. I don't have a lot left to spend on this project around 400 is all I want to spend. I really like the Manners EH4 but it is out of my price range. I want a vertical grip but do not want a big bulky benchrest stock. I have looked at the stockys stuff but I'm unsure of the quality. Is there another brand I should look at other than Greyboe? Is the stockys stuff ok? Would I be better off to keep trying to find something used?
Thanks
Matt
