I was getting my tanks filled at a local Dive shop, but have since purchased an Omega SuperCharger compressor.

Yup yup. Ya, many dive shops won't fill tanks unless they are certified....I purchased an uncertified 80 cf 4500 psi carbon tank from Amazon at a good price, then put a high quality American made valve assembly on it. Has worked great for the last 5 years! As you stated though, if you go that route, make sure you have somewhere that will fill a tank for you. My next purchase may be a compressor.
