Good luck on your sheep hunt. The buck was some good practice.

There were two or perhaps three herds of bighorn sheep that would come down and get water at the Salmon River where everybody could see them. Neither herd had a ram. I don't know if that is normal or if "hunters" had killed the rams. I would have enjoyed seeing a big ram.

Good job. I know that Northern can be hard to find a place to hunt. Especially for us "central folks".

Did you draw the bighorn tag, or are you helping someone?

I haven't been lucky enough to draw the Rocky yet so this year will be another season where I just help out. Can't get enough of that sheep fever!

The hunt is in central Utah in the Book cliff mountain range. Some of the sheep in this unit were brought here from Alberta and possess some of those huge bases that we all love to see.
