Browning X Bolt HC LR Barrel Lenght

can anyone that owns a Hells Cayton LR tell me the barrel length not including the break?

I know it is listed at 26" but I have a Long Range Stalker and it was listed at 26" but that includes the break.

mine is 25" with the brake removed, HC LR McMillan.

Are you including the area of barrel in the receiver? that would make it 25 inch barrel a 26

A barrel is legally measured from bolt face to end of muzzle, you would need to close th ed bolt then stick something down the bore, mark it then measure it--- when browning says 26" that would be from bolt face to muzzle with out the brake
Some companies round off though so measurements may not be exact-- many "16 inch" barrels are often 16.25 or 16.5"

No, that was to the front of the action.

Using this method I got 27-1/4" with the brake on.

Brakes arent included in the barrel length, unless its pinned in place of course.

Gents I stand corrected. I took my break off and used a cleaning rod and measured again. It is a 26" barrel.
