Me a few years back while bow hunting, had to imploy my revolver (357) just to add to the long list of critters that I have taken with it.and my Son and couple years ago with his muzzle loader both while Elk hunting.

Last night I was bow hunting elk, sitting quietly in a irrigation ditch watching and listening, I made my shot and was calling and watching the elk bed down, well after dark on the side of the ditch behind me a blood curdling scream 8 feet behind me in pitch black night rolls over me . I **** near soiled my drawers, I spun around with my 44 mag in my hand and a small pen light and there he was eye level and barking at me, then walking over to my elk saber tooth prairie chickens erupt-2nd soiling of pants!! Mabye it's time for depends while hunting! Almost forgot a close encounter with a porcupine
