Got him a lil Savage Axis 6.5 Creedmoor. Threw a 4-12-50 vortex on it and took it out and zeroed with Factor Hornady Precision Hunter. Will cut one ragged hole 3 shots in a row at 100 yds. He's pumped as we're now sitting in the blind looking for a volunteer to ride in the back of the truck. View attachment 628412

I picked up a Weatherby Vanguard 6.5CM synthetic stock 24" barrel 1:8 twist. Was $525 out the door at a shop in Pennsylvania. Rural King has them advertised once in a while too. I am really happy with it. Mine also puts 143gr Hornady ELDx into 1 ragged hole at 100yds. Hornady precision hunter factory loads. I am really happy with the quality of the rifle. Made by Howa, on a Rem700 style action. Smooth as butter.
