"Higher BC'S than Berger's and thicker jacket on the lower 3/4. And the biggie BONDED CORE."

"You're right, figure an extra 100 fps, with the BC and velocity and bonded core, how could you beat that!"

"The tapered jacket, bonded core and smaller meplat diameter should prove to be the best thing since sliced bread, canned beer and a good saddle horse."

-John Porter

Apparently Berger has been kicked to the curb. The LR AccuBonds are already being praised on BOTW's Facebook page. Either money talks or they're wanting to waste a lot of energy with some exit wounds...

I was kicked off of the Botw facebook page for saying some of the same things... along with calling Dean Taylor out on calling a 338rum with a black stock a "Black Gun" . Very interesting everything I argued with them about online and in person both they are now supporting.... now if they just switch to Leopold scopes and fire Latt and Dean I'll be able to stomach watching the show again. gun)

Magnumitis, this was a conversation between john and myself talking specifically about the 6.5 129 gn. Accu-bond longrange in my wifes 6.5 wsm, its true nosler now sponsors Botw now, they were approached by nosler and several other bullet makers and has been in negotiations for well over a year. It was Berger that divorced Botw early last year, its my understanding there was a disagreement between the two stemming from back when the Davidson's were still part of Botw. Im not sure of all the specifics but it makes sense because gunwerks no longer shoots Berger, but are sponsored by hornady, I myself am looking forward to finding out how well the new bullets perform, Botw will be using them on a bear hunt coming up in the next couple of weeks.

I'm not much of a Facebook kinda guy but if I read it right John posted this on Thursday "We just received a few and will be proving their performance on bears in about 10 DAYS"
So before they even loaded them and killed anything there the greatest bullet ever, hard to confirm BC's and on game performance without pulling the trigger on one, looks like money talks to me!
The other comments on the page are quite startling, not a single bullet has been launched and guys are falling all over themselves declaring it the game changer and they are blown away by the BC, apparently marketing has done a good job on these bullets!

I agree 100%

It's a regularly watched tv show/business. Why would you think they are not above lying to make money? All they have to do is wave there hand in front of your face and say "these are the bullets you are looking for." And most will believe it.

I'm not saying that they are bad bullets but come on...at least take some game with them before making those kind of statements.

I work in the medical field., and over the years I have developed some rules. Close to the top is "Marketing will overcome physics and physiology every time". I've found it often found it applies to my outside interests.

Hopefully its better. It hasn't passed the shelf test yet. Noslers marketing team has been known to be a long way out in front of the production team. In these times loyalty to a brand gets tough if their product isn't on the shelf.

I cant stand any of those shows, who cares what BOTW does! I will admit to first learning about the sport from the show but after being here for about a day I think I out grew it. To much product pushing and not enough hunting, plus have you seen the cost of there systems? They don't even tell you who your smith is and you don't get to develop a relationship and interact with them like you do with the guys here.

Its kinda funny everybody is talking about loyalties, Berger left best of the west, and forced them to look else where, they have still been loading Berger's in their ammo line but have been shooting their own vld design for a couple of years now.
they are made by jlk to the botw specs, they have a 6.5 142 gn, 2 7 mm bullets in 175 and 180, and a 30 cal 197 gn vld, they have also continued to sell the berger's in the longrange store but that was more for the customers who were already shooting them then it was for profit, because they weren't getting any discount on the purchase of the bergers. And if you all think they haven't done some preliminary testing on the ablr well I have some ocean front property in eastern Washington I'd like to sell ya. I know they got a shipment of the 210 in and have tested them but will be stretching them out tomorrow, I will be getting a detailed evaluation on them in the next couple of days, if you all want I will post the data as I get it.

I'm pretty sure if they have shot them its been at paper and steel only. To really prove a bullet and know how it works on game you need to kill a lot of animals in a lot of different situations and conditions. So you can keep your ocean front property. They are definitely getting the cart before the horse. The original AB has been proven but nobody has truly proven the LR version yet as far as performance on game. ...some people buy koolaid based on who is making it NOT what it tastes like...

Fair enough, and time will tell. Im sure people were saying the same thing about bergers at first too. Actually if I remember correctly berger was saying that about their own bullet, but it was the longrange shooters/hunters that ignored what berger was saying and proved that the bullet worked great as a hunting bullet. I have used the accu-bond for several years before switching to Berger, and im pretty sure from my own experience that the new bullet will do what they say it will, I am a little skeptical on the velocity range of it tho, I mean they advertise down to 1300 fps and it will still expand as designed. If thats true well that does raise the bar quite high. Only time and real world testing and proving will tell for sure. I do know im looking forward to getting my hands on some and trying them out!
