Bore Diameter relative to Recoil in SAME WEIGHT bullets

Wow Thanks Feenix, Hugger

Interesting stuff fer sure!

I had no idea a powder change would effect recoil like that
Yes, partly due to the powder's burn rate property.

Just for $hz & j|||ۤ I run the recoil values on mine and my wife's rifles, as fired from the bench, anytime we build a new load.

I use ……https://shooterscalculator.com/ for the majority of my theoretical bullet drops, velocities, energies, ect @ distance as well as recoil values! memtb

Example for my rifle:

Thanks for responses guys

I found the type of powder/charge effecting recoil interesting

Cuz, the way I understand that, is; it means you could be putting up w more recoil than whats required to do the same job

When I say same job:
I'm referring to your rifle, with "certain" bullet at "certain" speed.
Different powders will produce different recoil amounts.
Very interesting stuff.

I usually look for a high load density and powder that's not what I call touchy = when you make a small adjustment in powder charge and see a drastic difference, in speed or pressure signs, I'm not a fan of that

From experience. 338 ultra. 300 ultra. Twin rifles
180 projos.
Both 3500 fps mv.
The 300 has significantly more felt recoil.

And I'll add, the 300 has to be pushed harder to get that velo.

Now let's ask ourselves, if we had a 7 ultra rifle of the same specs, could it push a 180grn 3500?
