Think the 2 grain difference on a 22-6.5prc vs 22-284 would be a wash on barrel life.
What barrel life? lol. 500 rounds for a 6mm/284 so 1/2 that for a 22 cal?

It seems to me that there was a thread while back about trying to reach 5000 ft./s. It seems to me that this oughta be included in the thread. I am not sure how to do it. But I'll take a look, and see if I can figure it out. If anyone knows how to do it, please do so.Here's a great read on the .22-284 but as you note it only goes up to 75 grain bullets. Fella named Bruce Potts built one and shared his findings with those who'd be interested.

Lord knows we specialize in multiple threads about the same thingIt seems to me that there was a thread while back about trying to reach 5000 ft./s.
