for $300, My Nikon Buckmasters 4.5-14x40SF is a great scope
Not that I don't plan on getting a better scope, currently my money is sunk into other upgrades, making my rifle "deserving" of a better scope

I'll add another thumbs up for Vortex. For the money they are good glass. I have a 6.5-20X on my RRA Varminter and it seems to be as good as my Monarchs or VXII's.

Still struggling to throw my hard earned and not too easily come by cash on the table for a scope. I'm still looking into my options but have been unable to determine if I like the Weaver Grand Slam or the Viper HS better. Can I get some help from folk who can help compare/contrast the two?
Weaver 6-20x40 Grand Slam Rifle Scope
and
Vortex 4-16x44 Viper HS 30mm Rifle Scope
