Best powder for 30-06,22 inch barrel 1 in 10 twist, 178 eldx ?

^^^ Same here, IMR 4350 works well with the 165 weight range, so does IMR 4064. That said I've used H414/W760 with the 180's in two 30-06's this fall w/ 22' Barrels that shot well with those two powders. Good speed too!

MY LGS got 900 lbs. of H4350 three weeks ago..... but Yah, F210M primers are just as hard to find, although they did have standard F210 primers on hand.

10-4 on the H-414. It's a great powder that often gives it's best accuracy and just slightly below max pressure. Some of these older powders just never get tried because they've been around so long.

I use the other 4350s in my handloads. AA 4350 seems to burn cooler and I use N204 as well. I don't know all of the reasons for the recall of some lots of Ramshot Hunter, but that is behind us now.

I would like to try it for an application like this as it is touted to rival extruded in temp stability. Burn rate is very close to RL19 & the 4831s. It is a dense spherical from Belgium.

Pick your favorite 4350 burn range temp stable powder and start sending them. Your rig will show you what it likes. IMR4451, H4350, Norma URP, or even R-16. It really depends more on your barrel than which one. IMR4166 would be a faster burn rate that I would be comfortable with trying. It would give a decent case fill and should give respectable velocity. H4831sc would be a slower burn rate you may try, but you would likely run out of case before finding a velocity similar to what the you can expect to safely attain with one of the 4350's. I like H4831sc better with the heavier bullets and use it with a 230g berger in one of my .30/06. I use Norma URP with a 167g Lapua Scenar in another of my .30/06.
With a 178g ELDX you could really go either way. It gives you a lot of great choices to investigate!

Yup, R17 out of a 22 inch barrel, start low and work your load up. Start at 51 grs. and go from there. If you had a 24 inch barrel I'd go with R19, H4831 or IMR 7828 sc.

I am going to start developing a load for the 178 grn eldx for my x-bolt 30-06. For 150 grn sst bullets it is extremely accurate with varget. what would be a good powder to try with the 178 grn eldx. My rifle has a 22 inch barrel with a 1 in 10 twist. Any good ideas appreciated.

Interesting data using the new Winchester ball powder Staball 6.5! Finally a temperature stable ball powder!

I have recently tried H4831SC in my 06 with 168 gr SMK and TTSX and was only getting in the low 2700's with 61.7 grains of the stuff. IMR 4064 has always been a great powder in my 30-06's. I just chrono'd some loads with the 2 aforementioned bullets and am getting 2830 FPS with the SMK and 2800 with the TTSX. Both loads are MOA or better, and that is right on point with Barnes load data for the TTSX, both in velocity and 4064 being the most accurate powder. IMR 4064 has also been a little hard to find lately, but if you can find some, I'd try it.
Sorry for the very delinquent reply, but was looking to validate my findings in old threads.

I'm working up a load for 168gn TTSX with Starline brass, 210 primers and IMR 4064 seated to Barnes recommended COL now. Glad to hear my choices aren't half-baked, but they were the best options out if what is currently available. Got up to 49gn 2791 FPS with no pressure signs and found a velocity node right near the top end, so going to try 48.8, 49 and 49.2 for accuracy next weekend.
