Best "decent" Thermal Scope

Yes, it is. I did not want to spend much money at first, but I'm really liking the style of hunting and I'm willing to spend a little more now.
I almost bought this scope several times and people told me that you could only see coyotes to like 150 yards max. Videos I've seen look much better than that. What's your experience?

You can see the images farther than that as far as identifying things it's a little difficult.

Looking to buy my first thermal scope(sub $2500) and wasn't sure what to get. I will not be using it very often but want a decent performing scope. Have heard that the AGM TS35 is good one to start with and to avoid ATN. I can get good deal on an ATN so was maybe thinking on trying it. Any advice appreciated.
I would not buy ATN

The Iray scopes that I have looked through appear to be very good scopes. I almost bought one but the 5 year warranty on the AGM products appealed to me.
I think the IRays are a little nicer than AGM, but I too bought an AGM (TS35-640).

I like it and may buy a 2nd one. Only about an ounce or two heavier than their comparable monocular (probably the mount) and I'd have the option to use it on a rifle.

I have three amg's use two, the third one my friends brother wanted the $1100 one never gave me the money so I need to sell it. 😂 at least it wasn't family.. I use them probably once or twice a month shooting varmit's for a rancher I know.
Great scopes..

The Black Hot mode can give some amazing images. Especially if there is not a ton of brush and visual clutter. Like in a pasture or wheat field for example.
I like Red Hot for scanning and quick sweeps across an area.

its very possible that the Iray is a bit nicer. I have looked through a couple but never field tested them while hunting. I have no complaints about my AGMs with the exception that I wish they would do an update to remove the obnoxious little red cross from the center of the crosshairs.
