Looking for a beam scale to get started with. What do you all think the best one is for under $100?

Thanks.

you should be able to get an rcbs 505 well under a 100 bucks new and if you check out ebay you should be able to pick up a 1010 rcbs for around a 100. Both are good scales.

As long as you are working from a steady, flat surface, my RCBS 5-0-5 works just fine (which is the case with all beam scales). I use it for checking loads from my RCBS Powder measure, along with a powder trickler when working up new loads. For me, since my reloading procedures rely mostly on manual processes, it is an integral part of my reloading process.
