Best action in the $1k range

We bought 3 Valhalla actions for our 338 NM projects. I chambered all 3 barrels. Before I finished my own, I decided to sell the barreled receiver. One of my friends with the other barreled receiver wanted my AIAX chassis to finish his. So, I sold it to him

At the last outing at a Guard base, the said friend zeroed his rifle at 100 and then crancked up for the 800 silhouette. Why the 800? It was the only one with one splatter hit. He fired 3 consecutive rounds - chest area group.

Kelbly Atlas Tac or Atlas Lite. I have two Atlas Tacs and three Atlas Lites. Ridiculously smooth, and as accurate as I can shoot.

Impact also has a basic model that I'd look into.

The origin ejector blade needs to slip over the case head of just loading one into the chamber.... not from magazine. I have heard of reports that this can be stiff to snap over case head.

Is the Origin still considered by many to be the best action in the $1k range?

What do you guys use or recommend?

Speaking from my experience, and I have several different brands of actions. I have several zermatt actions, 3 Origins. They are control round feed. In my opinion they are the best value. I only have CRF repeaters. The origin has BDL feed rails to take an internal box or it will also work on DBM. I have it set up both ways. Nothing is perfect with all the combinations cartridges feeling systems. I use Hawkins M5 bottom metal either Oberndorf or DBM. Wyatt's box, follower, and spring for the internal box. Some work will be required to tune the feeding system. I use AccurateMag for the DBM.

PTG was a buyer beware situation for a long time.
I think they did fine work but it was more when/ if you would receive your order.
Personally I don't think it's been rectified, I'd look into it at the very least.

Zermatt and Aero Precision. Aero is $841 right now. 3 lug 60 degree throw. Zermatt a tad more.
