Best 7mm out there now

Nosler 7 STW brass lasts one firing with the pressures I run, even though the primer was very tight going in. No use in running a 7 STW if you can achieve the same velocity with a 28" 7 Rem Mag.

AGD is making some very tough brass, and make a 7 Practical or 7 mashburn and use Winchester/Lapua brass with a lot more work involved.
There is absolutely zero chance you can match an STW. Unless you are comparing your 28" to a 24". More efficient designs are one thing, but two nearly identical cartridges, one with more capacity, your logic makes zero sense. I've also loaded things to the point of sticking bolts, that had to be tapped back open, and I've never seen brass of any brand, be ruined in one firing. Nosler brass is made by Norma, so that one definetly made me scratch my head.

My Brother and I are doing the same thing with the std 7 Mag with .210 freebore.

Two loads, 26", 9T, #5 contours, Brux and Krieger 4G, a third in an X Caliber barrel-6G

A. R#22 shoots a single bullet hole with R#22 at 2860

B. R#26 shoots sub 3/8" with Fed 215's, 3030 fps

Remington Brass, non-trued 700s, Boyd's stocks, Gentry muzzle breaks, Burris signature 6x24 with the light seeker front objectiveDies are Forster bullet seater and FL sizer, while I found the best accuracy with a '79 RCBS full-length sizer....go figure. We full-length size every firing. Beater rifles are not supposed to shoot this well, but they do.

I don't think a guy could go wrong with a 7 PRC or 7 Rem mag as they have almost identical case capacity.

The 7 Rem mag will feed flawlessly in the Mark 5, I don't know about the PRC.

28 Nosler is equal to the 7 STW in case capacity, or darn close to it. 28 Nosler cases(AGD), anyone making 7 STW Brass?
Yes, see, that is the problem with that. 7 MM STW because I have one..... hard to find stuff for it, but luckily i have around 250-300 brass and you do need a faster twist to shoot the heavier bullets. Right now i'm trying to stay under 170gr somewhere around the 165gr range. They didn't have the 28N when I got my stw or probably have gotten that.

I've seen Nosler brass in 2 calibers that was completely awful.
Never will I waste money on that high priced joke again.
When one case barely has an ejector swipe and the next blows a primer it gets your attention.
loaded with Autotrickler and seated with LE Wilson, etc.
Never had a similar issue with ADG, Peterson, etc.

Zero pressure signs and 3 firings until random pockets are giving up?
This type experience converts short term memory into long term.

I'm getting 3143 with 195's in Nosler STW brass, currently thru 5 firings, blems are $2 ea. No swipe or ejector marks. Some of this brass was used with a hot hammer load and has both marks on it and even those are still going at 5 firings. I do believe those hot ones will have pocket issues in another cpl firings.

I am curious as I do have a 28 Nosler, multiple 7 RM and 7 WSMs... in terms of keeping it within a standard length action... the 28 Nosler has about the maximum performance you can get out of the length. So I'm curious... what does the 7 mm PRC offer that the 28 Nosler doesn't already meet or exceed. Not that I think the 28 is the be all end all cartridge... just curious. I gotta admit though that I'm starting to fall in love with the 7 WSM even though I'm a 300 magnum guy...

The argument is a lesser performing and a more efficient case/powder burn. Most don't need/want 3100+ performance. At some point the blast and shoulder energy is overkill and effects shoot ability ……at least that's what their podcast marketing says (I'd buy it too).

Problem is many others do similar performance right now and it isn't any better than SAUM or WSM (or 7RM). I don't think it was ever about outperforming. It was about making what we have "better" and really just making something new for $$$$.

The 7PRC is designed to be able to handle the longer higher BC bullets at decent enough velocity to be able to shoot out to pretty much anyone's hunting range while still being comfortable enough to shoot accurately due to manageable recoil and all the factory rifles are being built to be able to handle the higher BC bullets as well. IE. Faster twist rates etc.
