Beginning new 25-06 project. Rifle is pre-64 win model 70 with a 24" benchmark barrel 1 in 10 twist.
Anticipated materials are Nosler custom brass, cci br2 primers, Reloader 22 powder and Berger 115 gn VLD's.
My question is this: In consulting my speer manual it lists max powder volume for 110 grain and 120 grain bullets to be 58 and 59 grains, respectively.
I have noticed some of the pet loads on this board to be around 50 grains which is a drastic difference. Is this because the bullets are longer than typical hunting bullets?
Thanks for any advice
