So who's a good, legit retailer to back order these through?

Very few places are taking back orders these days. At least online. A phone call can get you on a back order list (I know from personal experience).

Creedmoorsports.com will let you backorder the 100 count boxes. It seems like the 250 counts are what's shipping, so not sure when the 100 counts would be come available (they might be???). I imagine their backorder list is super long. There's no reason not to back order (zero cost until ships). In my experience, you won't hear anything from them. One day your credit card gets charged and you get to wait and see what backorder got filled.

I'd seriously consider Eurooptic.com if you don't already have some long standing backorders somewhere. They'll charge you up front and I think that is likely a good thing right now. My theory is it probably keeps a lot of people from backordering.

I have unfilled back orders that are over a year old. I have one that's over two years old (placed before everyone stopped taking them). Point being, who knows what place in line you'd end up finding yourself in.

Euro Optic is legit. Last of the few if any that will take back orders, however we checked with them on our pre paid back order and were told there were several 100 paid for BO's pending with no pending PO being issued on their end leading him to believe it'll still be some time til they see any.
FYI, they did already receive a shipment back about a month ago. Good luck

Backorder for months from one came through.

Good timing, the 10 boxes I sourced a couple of months or so ago from a high power shooter are now down to 5. Between my buddy and me, we do lots of shooting with our 300WMs and 06s.

Thank you-- I'm down to about 60 left-- and no tags for me this year. I have a few boxes on bo and was hoping they would come through before I ran out--- guess I won't be shooting many of them for a while

Just a heads up, it appears both 100 and 250 counts are out there. I just had a backorder filled (placed 11 months ago), this very morning, on 100 count boxes. They said they didn't get any 250 count boxes in this shipment.

Based on Bamban's receipt image above, they did get 250 counts before this shipment. Pretty sure we got them from the same vendor (identical invoice layout/type/wording/format). So, I likely was too far down the list for that delivery.

Midway had some earlier today, got the email & figured.. ahh wth , I'll get 3 boxes ..,

put them into my cart, went to pay for it but they still had my expired credit card info from last month & I hadn't updated it to the new one, by the time I updated that info in my account and went back into my cart to pay ....

got a msg saying they were out of stock.....
which one of y'all bought my 3 boxes ? lol !
