Berger 245 Grain EOL in the 300 PRC

I never really shot them for a group. I forgot my stapler for the target. So I backed up to 450ish and shot an 8x10 piece of metal that was laying on the hill.

I tested the 245, RL 26, Hornady brass and 210m. Going off memory the 73.5 grain load showed a slight ejector mark. 2835ish FPS. 73 was fine around 2820. 74 was a definite mark and slight lift at 2875ish.

26" proof. My rifle shoots the factory 225 eld at 2882 fps as a reference. I've got about 125 rounds down the barrel. I just shot some factory loads last week and they were around 2880-2890 fps. So I expect my barrel to speed up a little still.

I would try RL 33 but I have read there are major temp issues with it. I've got some LRT to try and I might try some Norma 217.

The 245 @2825 fps beats out the 215 @3000 fps in both wind drift and energy at 1000 yards.
Just want to make sure the load you mentioned with 73 grains of RL26 was in a 300 PRC, correct? My 245 grain bullets came in yesterday and I want to load some up tonight. Thanks

The EOL in my PRC is my tightest group shooting rifle to include Dasher, BR and Creedmoor.

I'm using 76 gr N565 for 2827 fps. 78 gave me 2900 but it shot better with 76.
