3rd time to the range with my Bergara B-14 HMR. This time I removed stock and sanded the recoil lug and action screw areas, and installed a Trigger Tech trigger.
3 loads 208gr ELDm 82grs of N570 195gr Sierra TMK 74grs of N560 and 168 gr Berger 78grs of Re#22. Zero pressure signs on any.

Fantastic! You got a good one!

I have a Wilderness Sierra in 300 wm with ScytheTI suppressor. Im firing 180 grain Accubonds with 79.5 grain of H 1000 getting 2,945 fps avg with SD 7.4. Bergara makes good rifles.
Same Load I've been using for a Very Long, Long time! HMR-PRO 300 WM

The 7 PRC isn't a really hard kicking rifle, but the APA Fat Bastard works great, feels like shooting a .243.
The purpose of the screw holes is to get it to recoil straight back to allow you to observe the bullet impact. Take out set screws until it does. But nothing will stop really hard kicking rifles, stock geometry, light weight rifle in magnum calibers, physics!

I've had the pleasure of shooting several different Bergara rifles, from their low end, up through some pretty expensive stuff. All have been at least decently accurate, some very accurate.

Bought a 7mm Rem Mag Wilderness Ridge for my son - their low end rifle. Loaded some 150 grain ELD-X bullets over IMR 8133. Got great velocity and accuracy!

His 7mm Rem Mag in the foreground on the bipod, my 6.5 Creed on the tripod in the background. Mule deer hunt that didn't work out, but we knew we had good rifles and ammo:

A 5-port Brake and a Backfire Recoil pad makes it a comfortable wallop. Yesterday, I fired 41 rounds just fine.
