I shot this nice buck during the middle of the November gun season in SW Missouri. Due to computer problems, I am only now able to post pics again. I was easing along and glassing field edges at sunrise when I spotted this 3 1/2 yr old buck. I dropped down into prone position and shot him right behind the shoulder at 154 yds. If you look close, you can see where the Burris 4.5-14 caught me on the eyebrow. I had passed up a couple of young bucks as I wanted at least a 3 1/2 yr old, what I consider mature. Shot was made with my Savage 6.5 WSM and a Sierra 140 gr SBT gameking. Exit was about 1.5" diameter. I was tickled pink with this nice buck.
