Modern day turkey hunting has changed completely with the introduction of TSS...it's now smaller and harder...everyone used 4-5-6 copper plated shot but now the rage is 20 & .410 with #9's TSS...BOTH WILL LEVEL THEM TO 45 YARDS WITHOUT THE RECOIL..I WOULDN'T BELIEVE IT BUT I'VE SEEN IT FIRST HAND..MY THINGS HAVE CHANGED

No doubt, my 7 year old son demolished his tom at an OnX confirmed 52 yards with a 20ga 3"tss 8 and 10. Saw it's head whip from one side of the tree to the other when he pulled the trigger.

My wife has been killing Turkey for about 40 years using a Remington 870 and just plain #5 shot. All through a few years ago she's stop using 3" shells. Oh yes, she owns two different 870's. First 870 has just Mod barrel newest has select Rem chokes.
